Official Language

English is the official language of the conference. No simultaneous translation will be provided.

The following items are included in the registration fee:
for participants : scientific sessions, abstract book, CD -Rom with extended abstracts/full papers, ice breaker reception, coffee breaks, and a pass for public transportation.
for accompanying persons : access to the exhibition, ice breaker reception, coffee breaks, walking guided city tour, and a pass for public transportation.
Important note : meals are not included and a surcharge of CHF 20.- for the congress dinner is added.
   
Registration and payment A confirmation letter will be sent to participants upon receipt of their payment.
   
Confirmation Upon receipt of the request for accommodation, together with the first night deposit, or indication of a valid credit card number, a confirmation letter will be sent to the delegate.
No confirmation can be made if these conditions are not fulfilled.
   
Cancellation and refunds
Symporg must be notified of any cancellation in writing. For cancellations received prior to 3 August 2006 the registration fee and/or the hotel deposit will be refunded less CHF 100.- for administrative charges. No refund will be made after 3 August 2006.
   
Lunches and Congress Dinner

Meals are not included.
For the Congress Dinner a contribution of CHF 20.- per person is requested. Please complete the registration form.

   
Technical exhibition A commercial technical exhibition will take place at the entrance, where coffee breaks will be served as well. For information, please contact SYMPORG SA.
   
Passport and visa requirements For citizens for most of the countries, a valid passport is sufficient. However, visitors coming from certain countries may need a tourist visa. Please consult your travel agent or the nearest Swiss consulate or Embassy. On request, Symporg SA will be pleased to send you an official letter of invitation.
   
Access to the venue   (CICG ) From airport: the train to the railway station Cornavin
From railway station : TRAM 13 or TRAM 15 Direction "Nations" stop "Nations", or bus n°5 (direction Palexpo) and n°8 (direction OMS).
Stop Vermont or Varembé
Highway: follow sign Geneva - Lake, direction ONU (Place des Nations), Parking des Nations (paying car park).
Badges

Only the conference badge allows participants free access to the sessions.
It also allows free access to public transportation.
Costs to replace a lost badge : CHF 30.-

Climate and clothing The climate is usually mild in September with temperatures of around 17 to 20° Celsius ( 63 to 70° F ). However, in addition to light clothing, don't forget warmer clothes and a raincoat for rainy days and good walking shoes as well as proper clothing if you plan excursions to the mountains.
   
Money The Swiss currency is the Swiss Franc (CHF). One Swiss Franc equals about 0.60 Euro. Banking hours are from Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 4.30 pm (Wednesdays 5.30 pm). The banks are closed on Saturdays and Sundays but money can be changed (cash machine) at the airport, the Cornavin railway station and at most of the hotels.
Shopping Shops in Geneva are opened daily from 8.30/9 am to 6.30 pm Mondays to Fridays.
Closing time on Saturday : 5 pm.
